Cookies
What we set, why, and how to change your mind.
What's a cookie?
A cookie is a small file your browser stores when you visit a website. Sites use them to remember things between page loads — like what's in your cart or whether you're signed in.
We split the cookies we use into three groups: strictly necessary, analytics and marketing. Necessary cookies are always on because the shop genuinely doesn't work without them. The other two only run if you opt in.
Strictly necessary
These keep the shop working. They don't track you across other sites and we can't turn them off.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
duffys_session_id | Identifies your cart so we can show your items when you come back. | 1 year |
duffys_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask again every visit. | 1 year |
duffys_pending_checkout | Lets you resume a Stripe checkout if you click away before paying. | 24 hours |
sb-* (Supabase) | Keeps you signed in to your account. | Session / 1 year |
| Stripe checkout cookies | Set by Stripe on their secure payment page to process your payment safely. See Stripe's cookie policy. | Varies |
Analytics (with your consent)
These help us understand which prints people love most and where the site could be better. They're anonymous — we don't see your name, address or email through analytics. Only run if you tick the Analytics box in our cookie banner.
| Name | Provider | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Anonymously distinguishes one visitor from another. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Tracks session activity (page views, time on page). | 2 years |
Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation. You can also opt out of GA across the whole web by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Marketing (with your consent)
If you tick Marketing, we'd use cookies set by ad platforms (for example Google Ads, Meta) to measure if our ads are working and to show our prints to people who'd love them. Off by default.
We currently don't run any marketing tags — this category is here so we can add them later without changing how the banner works. We'll update this page if and when we do.
How to change your choices
The easiest way: click Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page on the site. The banner opens again and you can tick or untick the categories.
You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings:
Bear in mind that blocking necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout working — you won't be able to place an order.
