Personalised Christmas Gifts for Grandparents: Five Prints for Nanna and Grandad

Grandparents are the hardest people on the Christmas list. They have had plenty of Christmases already, they will tell you not to bother, and then whatever you give them goes on the sideboard and gets pointed out to every visitor for the next ten years. That last part is the useful bit. A print with the grandchildren's names on it, or their faces, lands differently to another tin of biscuits.

Here are five prints we make in our Hessle studio that suit Nanna and Grandad, what you can change on each one, and what they actually cost. Everything is drawn and printed by us, and you see a proof by email before anything goes near the printer.

Two photographs, their names, and something you wrote

The Personalised Grandparents' Day Photo Print takes two of your photographs and sets them alongside the grandparent names you actually use at home, the grandchild's name, and a message. You can write that message yourself or use our wording, whichever feels less like homework.

It was drawn for Grandparents' Day, which fell on Sunday 4 October 2026, but nothing printed on it is tied to that date, so it wraps up just as well for Christmas. Two photos is a sensible number. One from the hospital, one from this summer, and the gap between the two does most of the work without anyone having to say anything. It starts at £12 for the A5 print on its own, or £15 framed.

A flower for every grandchild

The Personalised Nanny's Garden Print turns each grandchild into their own flower. It carries the wording Nanny's Garden across the top, a Growing Since year that you choose, and the line Where love grows along the bottom. You pick the flowers, and you give us the names to go with them.

Four boxes on the form are yours: the title, the subtitle, the names with their flower numbers, and the bottom message. So if she is Grandma, or Nan, or Nanny Sue to distinguish her from the other one, we change the wording. Same price as the photo print, £12 for the A5 print only and £15 framed.

Welly boots lined up by the garden fence

The Personalised Welly Boot Family Print is a row of wellies against a garden fence, one pair per person, each with a name on. It reads as a family print rather than a grandparent one, which is the point: it puts the whole lot of them on Nanna's wall at once.

There is a wreath option on the personalisation form, so ask for that if you want it to look festive rather than year round. This one is the cheapest way in. It is £8 as an emailed PDF if you would rather print it yourself, £10 for the A5 print, and £15 framed.

Three photographs and a title you write yourself

The name on the Mother's Three Photo Print says Mother's, and plenty of people stop reading there. The title line is yours to write, so Grandma's Girls, or Nanna and Her Lot, or the four of them and the dog, is a two second change at our end.

You upload three photographs and we lay them out under your title. Three is a good number for a grandparent print because you can do one per grandchild without anyone counting who got the biggest square. Also £8 as an emailed PDF, £10 for the A5 print, £15 framed.

The street they have lived on for forty years

Grandad is usually the harder of the two. The Custom Monopoly Style Property Card Print is a bold property card in the style of the old board game, personalised with a street name or wording of your choice and a number along the bottom.

The road they have been on since before you were born works. So does the village they retired to, the name of the caravan, or the pub. Colours are red, orange, yellow, green, sky blue, royal blue, chestnut brown and candy pink, so you can match it to a room or just pick the loudest one. From £10 for the A5 print and £15 framed.

Sizes, frames and what they cost

All five come in A5, A4 and A3, either as a print on its own or framed. The frames are solid wood, made in the UK, in black, white or grey. Those are the only three colours we do, which keeps the choosing short.

  • A5 framed is £15 in any of the three colours, no mount at that size.

  • A4 is £19 framed in white or black, £20 in grey, and £21 to £22 with a mount.

  • A3 is £28 in white or black, £29 in grey, and £30 to £31 with a mount.

  • Print only runs from £10 to £12 for A5, £14 for A4 and £17 for A3.

Worth knowing: the front of our frames is 1.2mm acrylic, not glass. It is lighter on an older wall, and if a grandchild knocks it off the sideboard it does not turn into a hazard on the carpet.

What we need from you

  • Names spelled the way they are genuinely spelled, including the ones that look like typos.

  • Photographs at the biggest file size you have. A screenshot of a Facebook photo will look like a screenshot of a Facebook photo.

  • Your wording, if you are writing your own rather than using ours.

Then we send a proof by email. Read it properly, out loud if you have to, because once you approve it we print it. The number of times a wrong middle name gets spotted at the proof stage is the reason we do proofs at all.

One honest note before you order

Personalised items cannot be returned for change of mind, and that covers almost everything on this page. It is the trade off with something made for one family. Non-personalised items have the usual 30 days, unused and in their original packaging. If anything turns up damaged or faulty, send us photographs and we will sort it, personalised or not.

Where to look next

All five of these sit in family prints, along with the rest of the prints built around names and photographs. If you are working through the whole list rather than just the grandparents, the Christmas collection has the cards, reveal tickets and festive prints in one place, and gifts for her is the quickest way to see what tends to go out for Nanna.

Order early if you can. We are two people in Hessle, Lee and Sam, and December is December.
