Personalised Wedding and Anniversary Prints: Keepsakes That Last Past the Day

A wedding is over in a day. The flowers go, the cake gets eaten, and the photos live on a phone. A print is the part you can hang on a wall and still look at on a Tuesday morning ten years later. We make personalised wedding and anniversary prints by hand in our Hessle studio, built around your names, your dates and the places that mean something to you, with a proof sent over before we print anything. Here are six of the ones couples ask us for most, and how each one works.
Why a print, when the day is already photographed
A photo captures a moment. A print captures the wedding, engagement and anniversary facts you would otherwise have to remember: the town where you said yes, the date you met, the words you actually said at the front. It is also the sort of gift that suits a first anniversary or a wedding present, because it is personal to one couple and no one else. Every design below is made to order, so nothing is printed until you have seen and approved a proof.
Six personalised wedding and anniversary prints we make
1. A map of where you said yes
Our Wedding Location Map Foil Print turns the spot where you got engaged or married into a foiled map, with your names, a line of your own wording and the date underneath. It starts at £14 for an A5 print, and you pick the card colour (white, black or navy) and one of 32 foil shades, from gold and silver metallics to rose-gold holographic. One honest tip we put on every foil order: dark foils can get lost on a black card, so if you love a deep shade, a paler card shows it off better. Framed A5 is £18, and it goes up to A4 with a mount.

2. Your whole love story on one map
The Our Love Story Map Print does the same thing but with three hearts, one for each place that mattered: where you first met, where you got engaged and where you married. It is a lovely first-anniversary gift because it holds the whole run of the relationship in one frame. Same foil finishes and prices as the map above, from £14 for an A5 print.

3. Your vows, in foil
If there was a line at the front of the room that neither of you will forget, the Your Words in Foil vows or poem print sets it in metallic foil with your names and date. People use it for wedding vows, a first-dance lyric or a short poem. It is from £14 for an A5 print, framed A5 from £18. The same card-and-foil advice applies: a lighter card keeps darker foils readable.

4. A couple's hand print
The Couple Engagement or Married Hand Print is a quieter, more graphic design, with a coloured heart and your details. It is one of the more affordable ways in, from £8 as an emailed PDF if you want to print it yourself, £10 for an A5 print from us, or £15 framed. It suits an engagement announcement or a small anniversary gift.
5. First date, engaged, married
The First Date, Engaged, Married Location Print lists your three milestone places as simple type rather than a map, which some couples prefer for a cleaner, wordier look. It is also from £8 as a PDF or £10 for an A5 print, up to A3 framed. A good pick if you like the love-story idea but want the town names spelled out.
6. An engagement photo calendar
The Engagement Photo Calendar Print is the photo option. You upload your own pictures and we highlight the date you got engaged on a printed calendar, so it works as an announcement or a keepsake of the day itself. It is from £14 for an A4 print, and up to A3 framed with a mount.

How we make them
Every print is made to order here in Hessle (HU13), not pulled off a shelf. The framed versions use solid-wood UK-made frames in black, white or grey, with an optional mount, in A5, A4 and A3. The front is 1.2mm acrylic rather than glass, which is lighter, does not shatter and is a sensible choice if the frame might end up somewhere it could get knocked. Lee and Sam send you a proof to check before anything goes to print, so you get to see your names, dates and wording exactly as they will appear.
A few honest notes
Because each one is personalised to you, these prints are non-returnable for a change of mind, so please check your proof carefully.
On the foil designs, dark foils can disappear on a black card. If in doubt, a white or navy card keeps the foil readable.
Read the spelling of names and place names on your proof out loud. It is the easiest thing to skim past and the one thing you will notice on the wall.
Some designs (the hand print, the three-locations print) come as an emailed PDF from £7 to £8 if you would rather print it yourself.
Where to start
Have a look through the full Wedding, Engagement and Anniversary collection, or browse the Foil Gifts range if it is the metallic finish you are after. If you are still in wedding-planning mode, our wedding favour scratch cards pair nicely with a gift print, and there is more on those in our guide to personalised wedding scratch card favours. Not sure which design suits the couple? Message us with the names, the dates and the places, and we will help you work it out before you order.
